I recieved a letter from Alumni House today asking me to send an acknowledgement to the Novartis Corporation for the award I recieved from them in Computer Science. Since I never actually got the check from them, I responded with my own letter:

Dear Marcia:

I have received your letter requesting that I send an acknowledgment to Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation for my receipt of the Novartis Award in Computer Science.

Unfortunately, as Novartis does not appear to have sent the check for that award to my home address, and I have as of yet to see anything from them, I do not feel compelled to make such an acknowledgment.

Sincerely,

yehhhh...

Sounds like two of the four "awards" I got at my high school graduation. Great American Food Store never gave me my thousand dollars, and the Knights of Pythias never sent me my "medal."

F*ck their doctrine of "peace and understanding." I can't eat a medal anyway.
